Tips and Tricks

Not my original idea because I heard this suggested elsewhere ...
After I dropped my Silky Zubat while aloft and working alone, I really disliked climbing down to retrieve it. Afterwards, I attached a cheapie carabiner to the hole in the Zubat's handle, then tied (using fisherman's knots) a discarded telephone coiled cord from that biner to the Zubat's scabboard. I found the standard headset length of coiled cord does not impede my reach. And because I can pull it back up, I no longer keep a death grip on the Zubat and will drop it anytime necessary or convenient. The cheapie biner also allows me to disconnect the Zubat so I can use it while walking about on the ground.
Can you make calls from your saw now?

Military ammo boxes .... air and water tight, durable, and easily transportable. They come in a few different sizes. I use them in roofing for nail storage and one I keep a small tool kit in for field repairs. Gotta have some uses in tree work. Anybody have any ideas?

How did that happen? Were the spurs behind the seat?

I met a climber who was climbing with spikes. He was suspended in air and was flailing his legs to try and get a hand hold on the tree. Apparently he gaffed one of his legs with the other foot. Didn't sound very fun to me.
No clue but that would be my guess. He still stores stuff behind the seat often, including spikes ....

Keep chains/files dry and organized

Sean. I still don't know his last name but he threatened to call workmanship comp over the chipper accident if John fired him. He's also filing a defamation lawsuit over the drug allegation. I suppose once he gets his power, water and gas turned back on. Oh yeah and gets a phone and a car. Also never was a fireman in Colombus per their union guys.

Imagine that......a dishonest guy......With MethTeeth? No freakin way?!

Just a thought... what about Truck Bed Coating? I have never used it, but it is tough stuff...not sure if it is too tough though. o_O the English language is a strange complicated mess. Yeah, if you brought one of those throw bags and threw it through a bough, a thorough coating of that tough stuff you bought, I thought, ought to help its durability. :D
Looks like mine is due for another coat after about a year. Rubberized stuff from a can, not actually rino lining
