This is the Akimbo

I do think it's interesting that the promo pictures have it hanging on Scion line, that's the exact rope that gave me trouble with earlier versions, probably a good sign.

View attachment 47739 My wife is there as a presenter and I had her stop by the RE booth. Still no time for release set. They just said soon.
That will help me cope for the next few hours...then I will need more. Photos, videos, details. Thanks for going out of your, and your wife’s, way to get that photo to share with us.

But honestly they need a black rocko to compliment that better.

So here is the word on the street, which we all know is reliable and not fake news...

Still a soft release date of late spring 2018. RE is likely going to keep the initial price point below $400.

The colors may change but the current production version does not have the shackle for tending, it is a smaller integrated hole on one of the aluminum spine plates.

There are some smaller changes I can see from pictures that have been shared with me from the expo, namely the upper eccentric pin has changed shape, likely to help with wet rope, and a general compatibility with more brands and sizes of rope.

More tid bits dribbling in...

It will be interesting to see what the final version looks like and behaves. Like everything else on the market there will be lovers and haters of it. I am lucky enough to have an R&D model from Jamie that I tweeked to something I love. I also own one of the GoFund me versions that I rode a few times and liked so much I lent it to Mert 6 or 8 months ago. I personally am not a big fan of the concaved faces and it looks like the RE version has had them made more predominant. I also question why you would only put the new tending hole on one side. Yes it works as does the RR with its off center tending point, but how many discussions & mods have been made to tend the RR from the centerline.

Okay, start the hating now lol. I am not at the show but if I was there I would be asking RE and Jamie the same questions. Anyone there may feel free to ask or show them this message.
