This is the Akimbo

I just watched the update video and finished reading all posts. Looks like the cam is a much better way than what i was thinking of with the knife spring. In my mind i was thinking of spring loading the whole upper arm at the pivot of the link. But the cam looks to have done the trick.

i am loath to estimate a ship date as this is the first time i have done this and i really am learning the process as i go. if things go well, i should have the parts around the end of the month. then it comes down to assembling and getting some numbers for break strength. that is for the proof run mind you, second run wont have to go through the whole design phase again.

Very interested in the second run!

Dude don't even estimate a ship date. I've "invested" in a lot of crowd-funded things and it's the same crap every time. They tell you "deliver June 1st!" Then spend the next year telling us about the manufacturing delays, design issues, thanking us for support, asking us to be patient, pushing ship dates.

I say just do your thing. We will all be giddy when rumors hit the web that people have gotten theirs!

I have my iPhone ready to do my review!

I've been in manufacturing for over 30 years so trust me when I say I understand things happen. I was just looking for a 6 month window. Fall 2016 maybe, sometime this year if all goes well. No pressure at all from me just curious.

Pretty sure it's taken years of trial and error, testing, retesting, returning to the drawing board, frustration, modifying to even get to this point. But look what you've made... pretty sure you won't forget what got you here now, nor should you.
