Wouldn't it be nicer if there were two holes on the part you connect the carabiner? For when using it with doubled line. Or would that change the geometry on the base and open the bottom part? It's just that I hate having two carabiners in the same ring next to each other. Especially since that halves the strength on them.

Sadly, it fascinates me like that, too. Watched that video four times, marveling at how Jamie has so quickly solved issues and made improvements, and how compact and slick the device is.

I believe the only stainless steel on the Akimbo is the D shackle. Just lots of beautifully formed aluminum.
