I do love tinkering and Matt's saddles sure make it easy. As long as the backpad and legpads fit your body type I see almost no reason why one wouldn't be able to get their saddle setup just about perfectly for their climbing style and needs.

I've got 2 on the shelf. That current set up looks like the most efficient one you've posted! I may need to try and find me an old MCRS on the Treebay thread! Nice job @rico!!
Steve, I may need one of those !I've got 2 on the shelf.
Don't get rid of your MCRS's.. You will regret it Steve...I've got 2 on the shelf.
You’ve got a good point I didn’t think about. It was the perfect saddle for meDon't get rid of your MCRS's.. You will regret it Steve...
I am still in the honeymoon stage with my Valiant, but at this point, with the same configuration, I would take a MCRS over the Valiant.. This is a testament to the virtues of the MCRS and not a knock on the Valiant. Things may change as the Valiant breaks in, but there is something very special about the way the backpad and the leg pads on the MCRS fit my frame.....Best I have experienced to date...
I bounce around 42-44 and I am on the last hole in the belt. If I was up north in heavy clothes in winter it wouldn't fit.So how big of a waist does that size 2 fit?
Rock Exotica... Gap and TreeStuff usually have them in stock. Amazon is another easy place to find them...@rico what brand rigging plates are those/ where did you get them?
I spliced up a friends Valiant with New England vintage 3 strand-I'm pretty good at splicing 3 strand and I'd love to use that to make it looks real old school but I worry that it would be too abrasive to the harness and cause premature wear...
How strong is it?R&W has this and another synthetic three strand.
