Thank You Tree Buzz!!!

Thanks Levi! I agree and feel the same, except for the splicing part ;)

The best way to give thanks is to pass on info anytime you can here. Help others as they have helped you. Oh, and thank the sponsors in person and by clicking on their ads and seeing what they offer.

I've been on here for a very long time and I have to say I have learned the majority of my climbing techniques from the guys on here. I learned about the buzz while taking classes at Rutgers from Mark and Steve. I credit the buzz as the single most significant contributor to my career as a climber. I have learned so much from everyone on here and have had a 99% positive experience. I can only account for one unpleasant experience. That wasn't even on a forum. It was through a pm. I've has no reason to ,even look at the other sites.

I consider gratitude to be an important part of a life well lived. And while I thank and try to express appreciation for individual things people do for me as I have communicated on TreeBuzz, I find it hard to express just how much I value The Buzz as a whole.

As it turns out I’m glad I held up posting a bit because I see in Steve’s post a phrase that catches the sentiment for me also, “I credit The Buzz as the single most significant contributor to my career as a climber.” For me TreeBuzz re-energized my career by giving me a form of education that works for me in small bite sized bits and always something new and exciting and different. I now continually have some new facet or aspect of tree work to focus on that ignites my passions.

I have always loved a good book. One that invites me in and is hard to put down and go do what I ought to be doing at that time. In the pages, and in the archives of TreeBuzz I see thousands of ‘books’ on any topic about the tree world that I might care to delve into.

Thanks TreeBuzz for being who you are!

That book bit is good Merle, that is how I will describe it to my wife next time she gives me dirty looks. Still won't help...

I have really come to feel that this is a community that I am part of, and feel a lot of personal investment in. Not capital, sorry mark and Tom. But, I am a part of treebuzz, and it is a huge part of the arborist I have become, or am becoming still I guess.

This is why I will occasionally take issue with people about their views on here. I see this as some kind of fucked up Internet age home away from home. This is where I make a lot of connection to my peers. And I means a lot to me.

Thanks for making me think about it Levi.

While my climbing is still fairly basic the buzz has exploded my knowledge and potential for tree work and rigging skills that have got us through many tight spots safely and in good time.

Mac your line here is good, I'm in Ontario Canada and without the buzz there is no way I would have know any of you let alone learned anything that has furthered my career the way it has. Like many of you I see a lot of other arborist friends once or maybe twice a year we are fairly spread out, but the buzz has consolidated a lot of fun but serious safe knowledge.
I try to promote to the buzz to many of the newer faces I see coming into our industry and others in my area, never knowing with how much success.
But for now I will continue to gluten myself, and make my wife ask things twice to get my attention while I'm tied in here on the buzz. Hopefully, I'm a slight bit of help to someone here as so many others have done for me.

Thanks to all.
Kevin

Tree buzz is like being at a conference every time you log on. Always good information a tips as well as the banter that happens after the organized program ends. It is the ultimate networking tool. We have contact and input from colleagues located all over the world! How great is that?

You guys are what TreeBuzz is. When I started to create this site way back when I didn't even fully understand the internet, I wanted to have the interactions on the computer that I had at conferences and events. I also wanted to meet more people than I could by traveling around. And last, I wanted to do it whenever it was comfortable to do from my own house. I met Tom and the rest was history I guess.

It has been a great experience for me and one that I will continue to provide for others as long as it is useful and relevant. It's up to you all to help with that part. And I am very appreciative of your time and investment in this goal.

I also am appreciative of the sponsors we have. As I've said before they see the value and want to be a part of the community here and keep TreeBuzz moving. That's why I always ask everyone here to do that one thing whenever they can- Thank them. Email them, say thanks at a show when you see them and click their links often! And remember to show them some loyalty and use their services before others.

THANK YOU GUYS! (y)

When my friend and I officially became Buzzards last year we jumped around and giggled like giddy school girls (literally) because we were so excited to be a part of a community where we could learn and grow.

Tree buzz has transformed me from a brash, cocky, mediocre arborist, with intermediate level climbing skills and a lights-out flatulence problem into a humble, respectful, adequate arborist, with professional grade climbing abilities.....and a lights-out flatulence problem.

Thank you! :tanguero:
