Texas comp

Jim and I are leaving Dallas early on Thursday morning. Out plan is to get there mid-day. I understand we're both working on the speed climb. This should be interesting with the new variation. This should be much more like a real speed climb on a workday.

See you all there...I don't talk Texan...

Sounds like a blast! I won't be climbing this year as I have moved on to more intense recreational addictions that get my arse further from the ground.

Plan on stopping by and lending moral support.

Keith, I see you got a good run at it. Nice to see you being pace-setter for most of the day.

TxTCC belayed speed climb had three stations. Climber had just to tap the bell at each one. Two were off the beaten path just a bit and the top one was at the traditional 60 some feet to stop the clock.

To help out others setting up their TCC, try to keep these stations near the ascent 'lane' so the belayers can retain a reasonable slack/tension and keep the line out of the way of the climber.

Miguel won the masters again.Abram 1st in the speed belay,Nick Martinez(at 47)won throwline,David Ruiz got the AR and Miguel won the work climb and footlock.

Actually, it was done first in Hawaii 2007. At least on the International level.
