Thanks, Its been allot of fun playing around with this project. The added hardware "link" is made out of 316 stainless to replace the bird and you can switch back and forth easily. With the link installed it moves the hitch closer to the center and still keeps the proper leverage on the arm for the upper friction point. Adding the HH-2View attachment 37171 dogbone makes for a nice tight hitch with minimal setback.
Thanks moss ! Yes its a TIG, it does come in handy for little intricate project stuff. Now if I could just weld rope together and not have to figure out how to splice it would be golden.That is killer! I need to get my stainless welding skills together. Is that TIG? Beautiful work.

That is very not bad.Quick vid with the Hitch Runner, RopeHiker, Cannibalized Ascender... Whatever you call it. Even works good on 1/2 " Arbormaster.
