Tenex

Sorry I'm not from the area but if I want to buy tenex by the foot in Ohio or kentucky where do you guys go?

Next question is I run a 5/8" cmi steel block and would like to be able to add it to some new systems.

I'm ordering some xrr from mr. treestuff. I know adding it to 1/2" whoopies eye sling etc is no problem.

The problem is for bigger stuff can I squeeze 5/8" tenex which is 16 mm going into a 14 mm sling slot on the medium xrr. As well the large has a 20mm sling slot for a 16 mm sling will it be to loose?

Any advice besides the obvious buy a 3/4" block and use big xrr?

16 mm will not fit in a 14mm slot.

16mm sling will be fine in a 20mm slot. As long as its cinched tight it wont matter.

Xman makes a 3 ring terminal xrr sling combo out of the 1/2" tenex, basket rated for 2000 lbs. Awesome idea but the beast ring will hold 3/4"-1" tenex.

So my question is if a beast tri ring(1 large ring for retrieval) 3/4" sling was made what would be its minimum or recommended length and swl?

I may be wrong but my take with the x rings, is that they are as strong (actually stronger) than the rope they are spiced on to. At least with Tenex, not sure about amsteel or any of the super hero ropes.

Yes sorry I understand the tenex is the swl I guess I more after minimum size after burys?
It's always a basket so what do the splices take away from the original strength?
Those are better questions.

Samson says 90% to 100% with a straight bury, not sure about locking brummel with bury though, probably more than 80%
