Tendon Surgery AGAIN

Now read "Going Long" its a book with 20 or so running stories in it, some are about overcoming adversities (NYC firefighter run over by bus, Rick and Dick Hoyt from Boston), some are about the adventure (Tarahumara story in brief), and some are just plain funny!

Great reads!!!

I had the surgery a few days ago and it was a success, but more involved than we had anticipated. The tendon was shredded pretty badly and the doc had to remove a lot of dead tissue and grind down the bone spurs where he drilled the holes and sutured the tendon back on. He then spliced up the rest of the tendon and sewed everything back up.

Jimmy, that sucks, hope everything works out for you.

Please keep us posted. I had full rotator cuff surgery 20 years ago. Takes a long time to heal, but worth it if necessary.

It's never fun when we have to make a trip in to the 'bright lights and sharp knives' of the operating room.
My friend Rob Fisher said that line to me and he's so right.

Finally got the ok from the Doctor today to start back climbing.

It was another long winter of rehab, but well worth it. Tendon is fully repaired with no more pain in either elbow.

Congrats. I can't wait to get back too. Do a couple locks for me
