Congratulations to everyone who turned out over the last weekend & helped make the Swedish TCC a fantastic event. A huge volunteer base showed to support, judging, teching, running & scoring. A big thank you to all. The biggest thanks go out to Thilo Beeker who has worked so hard for many months to make this one happen. Cheers Thilo
The setting was aweinspiring! Djurgarden is Stockholms countryside in the city & the fast spring bud burst changed each day to provide a great backdrop to the gathering. Many climbers & attendees travelled from Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Finland & the UK. The travel time was not wasted I can assure you.
To cut it short the field was made up of 19 climbers of which 4 women & 15 guys climbed through saturday to try & make the masters.
Final master positions:-
Women
1st - Anja Uberschar(Germany)
2nd - Eva Persson
(Eva will represent Sweden at ETCC & ITCC)
Men
1st - Walter Hak(The Netherlands)
2nd - Alistair Mac Gee
3rd - Jonas Jenson
(Alistair will represent Sweden at ETCC & ITCC)
It should be noted that Germanys Ronny Epple finished 2nd after the first round but stood down from the masters because Walter is from the Netherlands, only one foreign climber can climb in the masters event.
Congratulations to Anja & Walter.
Best wishes to all at future competitions
