summer gloves

I hate gloves so the best I've found with dexterity is kinco nitrile, atlas nitrile comes in second to me. I'll go a size down and let them stretch out or cut the thumbs cuz I hate when they get caught in stuff.

Used to ride that glove train, get off while you can...they got more and more expensive as I got more and more addicted. It started off innocent enough," oh that pine is so sappy" next it was "wow I get better grip on the rope" soon enough it was "hey I don't even have to look where I'm grabbing". all the mean while my hands kept getting softer and softer, until one day I looked down at my albino white, doughy, smooth as baby butt mitts and decided I had had enough. To think I considered buying arm chaps!

Unless the veg has venomous spikes or it is numbing cold, I am naked. I also stopped using shaving cream years ago, it makes you face too soft...

I do a fair amount of self rigging so no likey rope burnt fingeys

The gloves pile up (atlas blue and nitrils) on the front seat of the truck once the sweat starts to flow. I can't get them on or off if the hands are wet.

HAHA hilarious frashdog!

Yeah gloves suck in the summer but there's the whole rope grippy thingy, especially on sub-1/2" lines. I found a good solution was to modify my cheap azz ugly gloves a little by cutting off the finger tips and cutting slits in the apex of the the fingers (finger crotch?). I'm really happy with the combo of dexterity, breathability, and grippiness - and they're cheap!

I found a few years ago that the bundles of nitrile gloves they sell at the HD are a good run for the money. A ten pack costs $9.99 and each pair usually lasts around five to six days of work. Not many productive gloves can boast a quarter a day cost

Fixed my last post a bit.

And ya, I do wear gloves to ascend, always. But usually not after the first time I take them off in the tree.
