Storing webbing slings / loop runners

I see a lot of climber's storing their webbing slings right on their saddle with what looks like a daisy chain? Is that the correct terminology for it? I've been storing them in a small rope bag that I can carry with me right on my saddle, nothing too big that it gets in my way but I'm interested in learning to fold them the way I see many guys doing it. I've found some videos online, is this correct or am I looking at the wrong thing.

The slings I have are continuous loop runners.

I learned an easier way than daisy chaining

'Half' the loop then clip a biner into the two loops. Slide your finger down the the other end of the halved loop. Give the loops a twist into spirals. Clip the finger end into the biner

This turns the loop into a coiled spring sort of mess. Don't worry. When you unclip the spirals shake out easily.

I prefer fold in half or thirds with a quick over hand knot. daisy chains take too much time and just look pretty. Anything less that 18 inches I don't bother even knotting and most of my slings are the weaver stitched flat through the middle and those I just clip both eyes to the biner and go, no messing around there either

I also overhand knot them. The longer ones I'll put a figure 8 knot in and that takes up more slack. I have found that I prefer just clipping one end of the loop onto the biner. I used to clip both ends, but with just one end, I take the biner off of my belt and untie the knot and have the biner in the loop ready to go.
