So I still slash into the back of my pickup and dump truck. Lately the pickup more so than the dump ( getting rust holes fixed). I'm going to do some sort of storage on the roof of the pickup. Have you guys done anything like this or do you have any suggestions? Also, I hate going back to job sites just to get my gear. This is why I wanna be able to pack the truck have passengers and still store my stuff.

I'm not entirely sure what your looking at doing, but to store tools on top of your cab you would need it reinforced. For a lot of strength and more surface area you may look into making a rack like forestry bucket trucks have. Like the attached picture.

Look for a grapple truck service.

Trailer for slash. Truck for tools. Find a solid car hauler and build some sides on it. That will triple your capacity. And it is low to the ground for easier loading.
In my old market there were two guys that ran like that for years. Didn't want equipment headaches and had good reliable labour.

I'm trying to avoid the equipment headaches. I bought a dump truck and it's worked twice in the month I've had it.

How'd they unload it? I found a badass car trailer with metal sides a guy used for firewood. I usually run a rope under the brush in my truck lengthwise. Then I tie to an anchor and drive away.
