Stiffy to hitch climber?

I’ve always used an ISC pulley for my rope wrench set up but would like to switch to the hitch climber. What’s the best way to attach the Stiffy to the hitch climber?

If you want to keep it independent of your hitch cord so you can take it off easily to switch to MRS, you can use a spare SLIC pin from a Rope Wrench (if the tether eye is thin enough) or a Rope Runner (for thicker eyes) in the top hole of the pulley. You will have to use a properly fitting washer on both sides to hold it all in place. You can drill a small hole in each washer so you can connect them with a short piece of throwline. That way, you don't have to worry about dropping and losing the washer when you are taking it off, and the short loop of throwline gives you another connection for tending the hitch, if needed.

As Swingdude suggested just slide it on the inside of your hitch cord... I would also suggest you start playing with a michoacan hitch as it is a much better hitch under the Wrench than a VT... Later add a Shorty tether to the michoachan and you have a much shorter, much sweeter, and much more high performance setup that is pretty tough to beat. Even with all of the latest and greatest mechanicals some feel it is still the sweetest setup out there....

I'm On It! Thanks

If you make up an Oceans double end tether with something like vectran, you can symmetrically split the two loops on either side like the two hitch eyes. My go to since losing the floppy tether. Except for the petzl draw semi-stiffy in between. For those who remember, "the 10" stiffy" :)

This is what I’m going for. Looks like I need a 26” hitch and a shorty? Started playing with the michoacan, its not as pretty as the VT but seems pretty slick and compact!
Get a 9.5" shorty double tether made by @height. Gap Arborist or Arbsession keep it in stock. Wesspur where my 3 come from will special order it for you. Use a 26" hand spliced HRC prussic. You will be mint. I use 28s on 9.3 or 10 or even 8 epicord. But shorter will be nicer. I have used them many times just had a bunch of 28s laying around that need using up. I am going back to HRC which is just a better cordage for me.

How does the 8mm epi compare to the 9.3/10 varieties?

As Swing said get the ISC double leg shorty tether..I find it perfect for the Wrench. I myself run 24" E2E's and have found that the hitch will tend to make contact with the Wrench, which is something I am not a fan of....

I can only speak for myself but I did not like (hated) the 8mm Epi... Could never get it to do what I needed it to do......

That is beautiful...and tiny. Sometimes that few wraps doesn't work for me (~220 loaded up, sans saw). Is that HRC?

I have the 8mm epi on a lanyard and it's basically a mechanical (Yale Aztec with 8mm epi - I think it's a 26" e2e by rope logic).
