SRT Climbing line

I have not climbed SRT on escalator yet, but KNOW FOR A FACT its very light and tangles like crazy when trying to redirect throughout a tall canopy. I have witnessed this first hand, and seems a windy day would make you wanna call your mommy crying for some Tachyon or PI etc.

Like I said I have yet to SRT/RW on Escalator.

NE Ropes Escalator: 5.2lbs/100ft

Yale Bluemoon: PI/HI-VI :6.5lbs/100ft

NE Ropes Tachyon: 6.3 lbs/100ft

As far as the escalator it's an excellent ascent line for srt but have yet to rope wrench it. I don't see where there would be much of a problem though. It's nice to footlock as you have just a tad less weight to lift with every lock.

So far for me my escalator line is going to be my new zip line. I don’t recommend using escalator for working the canopy of a tree with the wrench, especially awkward limb walks. The escalator is very grabby with the wrench in this situation and does not allow you to climb comfortably. So for me I still love my HTp but would like to find something a little bigger in diameter

The escalator is so incredibly light its amazing. Because it is so light it is sometimes hard to get it to the ground it seems to always just want to blow away. It is like trying to manage throw line. It is very static.

I just got some KM111 Max 1/2'' today. It feels nice in the hand. I've only tried 10mm OP for a hitch on it with a wrench. After one little climb I am loving it. The hitch advances easy and grabs reliably. Seems like a tough cover, 15% tougher than regular km111?
I forget the propaganda.

I thought about that line, the dark colour freaks me out a bit though ;) for SRT I want mine as bright as can be, if they sold it in flo-pink, I would buy it :)
