I'll see you all in the woods of Kentucky. Sounds scary when I put it that way. Well anyway, I'll be there, so as not to be square, like EZ, who's not going. Them just jokes Skeet, I know your a busy man.

That sounds awesome!!! I wanna go!

Rich, are you going to the Southern Chapter conference this year?? Me, Camille, and the rest of the tree crew will be there this time.

Well, I'm not going to make it after all........

We have a large project in progress here at work, which will run to the end of March, mid April..

Being 1 of 2 crew leaders, I just can't take the time off right now, and shut down a crew.

Were 6 days a week, 10-12 hour days,.....all the snow up here keeps putting us behide.

Need something on the weekend.

Sorry, have a good time.

That's it.

I was on the fence as to whether or not I could make this symposium, but if Tree Rat's not going, count me out too.

On a serious note, Jeff has been telling me almost daily about how cheap tickets are to Louisville, and that I can catch a ride to Knoxville, and while it all sounds like potentially one of the greatest times in the world, now I know that Paul Mautz isn't going to be there, and that makes it an easy decision.

Easy Duz It.

I plan on flying in from AZ. Any chance of catching a ride from someone? I have not booked the flight yet. Let me know when it might work. I'll even take a shower and purchase the gas.

Are you looking at a ride from KY to Knoxville? If so there will be a caravan as I am told going from KY to TN. I will be heading down that way.

i was just wondering the same thing jumbo, wanna share a rental car?

Where is the best place to fly into for this shindig?

Fly into Louisville International (International status because of the UPS hub)

That gives you the best access to car rentals and such. ) One tank of gas will get you there and back easily... so instead of buying a tank just fill it back up on the way in, save a few bucks. I'm running a CTW those two days so I can't make it. Wish I could if just for the opportunity to meet some of y'all!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to everyone, I just got back into town and haven't had a chance to check emails.

Paul and Stephan- It sucks that we won't get to see you guys down here for the event but I am certain that we will hook up for some late night knitting circle sessions at one of the many upcoming TCC's.

John- You had better believe we are heading down to the Southern TCC. Toni (my tree climbing arborist wife) and I look forward to hooking up with you and your crew. Many of us will be bringing out splicing tools, so hopefully we will get a chance to play with some cord while there.

Mike- You are most likely going to win the award for travelling the most miles to get to the class. We can't wait to see you there and promise to do what we can to keep the temperatures warm for you so you don't go into shock. (a little taste of the local beverage of choice usually helps with that !!)

As Roger stated (thanks man) you can all fly into Louisville International Airport to get to the event. We most likely will be running a shuttle service to and from the airport for those who would rather not rent a car. Bear in mind that many of us are leaving for Knoxville really early on the 14th to get to the Southern Chapter TCC set up day. There are plenty of super affordable ($35-$40 a night) hotels near by for those who would rather not camp out or sleep in the trees.

Feel free to give me a call at 21.276.1581 if anyone has any other questions.

So far we have about 15 people signed up, with a few more on the fence.

What kind of beer and how much is the exchange rate?

TJ (TR, or MagicMarmotB) is the manager, so I'll ask him. I think it is 6 guiness per person per night, but that is just an estimate.
