Its just to bulky on the tighter throwlines. You need quite a big eye on the needle to get the throwline through.

I've never splice the Edelrid throwline. I just attach the sail needle to the tapered tail of Zing-it.

What is the Edelrid throwline made of? What type of construction is it?
