Spade shaped leaves...

So I saw this one in the park the other day. Could use some water and a heck of a dead-wood pruning...but...What the heck is it?

Nick, I think what you've got there is an Acacia of some sort. It might be this species or something closely related:

The lady holding the leaves also thought it ws an acacia...but I know jack squat about them.

I think that might be it...I'll keep an eye out for yellow flowers and seed pods next time.
