SOTCC Battle of Mobile

I've never been to any competitions but I'm interested in competing, seems like it could be fun...One problem for me is that I've never done aerial rescue so, I feel like maybe I should wait until I learn how to do that. What do Yal think? Also, this may seem like a silly question but, one needs to be an ISA member right? And In order to get a better idea of everything involved, would it be a good idea to volunteer before jumping in the competition? I can watch YouTube all day but I'm not sure about all of the little nit picky rules and the exacts of the events....
Come on out and volunteer. Thats how I got started. It was just me and my fire engine red mohawk (that was a long time ago).

Bring your PPE! Good looking shirt, good food, good people and an all around good time.

Hey Billy, thanks for your hard work and commitment to this event, our crew is psyched! I will have one to help as a tech.

Thanks! I really enjoyed it and now my whole family is involved. My 12 year old Will (profile pic) plans on being the 2021 SOTCC Champion.

Of course there is a whole team behind the curtain: Perry Odom, Scott Winningham, Scotty Olson, Melissa Hardy, Connie Hilson, City of Mobile, and of course the greatest Chapter ISA has to offer!

We even have one of our climbers, Kevin Humphries, making the awards this year. Who better to create something to represent the event than someone who competes in it.

See ya next week!

If you haven't signed up to compete or volunteer, IT IS NOT TOO LATE! We will have onsite registration (please bring cash if you are competing). I know me and my family are ready! Come on out and join us!

Is camping going to be available? I thought that I read that somewhere but, now I can't seem to find any mention of it.

Loaded and ready! For anyone that hasn't signed up to compete or volunteer, don't worry. I have plenty of forms with me. Come on out and enjoy a great TCC!

Typical yuppie asshole! Southern Chapter needs to send a letter to the city council and they, (Southern Chapter) needs to never again hold their conference in Mobile.

I will post scores later in the week when I get back to the office. Dustin Urbanobsky will represent the Southern Chapter in Tampa. Good Luck Dustin!

That lady didnt even offer any legitimate proof that there could be any damage to the trees. A guy climbing on a tree isn't going me any worse than some of those hurricanes those trees have seen in their lifetimes. I'm glad yall found a new location and it worked out.

It is a shame that it happened the way it did. The lady is a no nothing community agitator who makes meat pies on thursday according to a local news interest story online. But, we all have to remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease and it certainly did this time. I really hope the Southern Chapter has the balls to make a formal complaint to the city council and never go back to Mobile again. Be interesting to know how much revenue the entire conference brought to the city.
