Songs of Perfection

I heard this song in the shower this morning. My wife recognized it immediately. Evidently she discoed. If I had known that when I met her, we might not have gotten married. Of course, if she knew I went to the Mustang Ranch when I was 15, we also might not have been married. Some secrets should be kept between couples. That policy has kept us together for 38 years. ;)

Better than the more known, later recording, by Keith Whitley.
The almost the whole "Many Mansions" album is good.

Here's the greatest Chapin song, one of the only songs, where the live recording is better than the studio recording.

Not to detract from this legendary musician, Woody Guthrie, the creator of this great song.
Willie Nelson's rendition is the most amazing rendition of this song.

City of New Orleans was written by Steve Goodman, I believe. Steve was a good friend of John Prine and they performed together. Steve died young but left quite a musical legacy.

They are one of the few Canadian bands to ever truly make it "big" and as a result they get rammed down our throats on every radio station. I've never really liked their music, but it's also listener's fatigue. That and Geddy Lee is a colossal douchebag.
Why do you say Geddy Lee is a douche bag? From what I've heard about him he seems to have integrity, and seems humble for a "famous" musician.
