You're correct. Sucker and sprout--along with vigor and vitality--are easily intermixed. And the sloppier the swaps, the less useful they are for accurate coordinated information.
In the same way that you synonymicly string out,
chide - rebuke - reprove - reprimand - reprehend, I'd like to offer
pizzazz and
panache in addition to
vigor and
vitality.
It would spice up our dialogues here, and probably be more comfortable for our customers:
