Show off them splices

Yo Yo Yo, Banjo is right Matt...you have a TM and choose beeline for a bridge ( folks got choices, don't recommend this one though )...the core of beeline is self abrading, please go back to globe 3000 it's the bomb and treestuff ( Luke ) sells it by the foot it's fairly cheap...would'nt like too see ya hurt bro...just saying..

It is the 10mm beeline. I know the high mod stuff is frowned upon by why this?

[/ QUOTE ]

Main reason is it's not tested and approved for the application, just get the globe 3000 and have an approved set-up. If I'm wrong and you're right we'll both know, If you're wrong and I'm right you'll never know and it will suck for everyone.

Banjo I don't use it I was just seeing if you knew something didn't.

The only thing I know about it is that it's not the chosen cord for the application. Lot's of time and research went into choosing globe 3000 for the TM bridge.

I agree with you on the research that went into the saddle but my ergo (I'm sure a lot of research went into it as well) came with a velocity bridge that the core hemmoraged out of within the first 3 months. Now I use a piece of safety blue that lasts 3 times as long as the chosen bridge. Maybe while researching they didn't test all of their options? Then you have to think beeline wasnt an option (for testing) due to being a Yale product. Keep in mind the TM designers are partnered up with NER/tuefleberger so I don't think they would like it if the bridge was manufactured by a different company.

Made up a 16' x 3/4" stable braid eye sling last night with a 12" eye. Whipped the end too. What you boys think?

Nice and neat, I'm a dyneema 12strand fan, I like it for lightness and strength.

Hey Jay, when u used the x rings with a block and brb which xrr sling were u using. The one with 2 rings ir the tripple ring sling? Which ring sling combo do u use the most?

This is my 3rd attempt and first completed with tachyon. I apologize for the marker, I didn't have safety pins at the time.

That sure looks nice to me. Looks like you made it without any loose cover slack in the eye. The tuck from the throat to the whipping seems pretty consistent, and the taper seems smooth. I bet it was a tough pull, but it looks like you did a nice job.

Pic 2. Anything look good or bad? Very new to splicing so any ideas should help. Thanks.

Good splicing, have a think about lock stitching instead of whipping, so you can hide the thread, so it looks super smooth and will not add any hindrance.
