Anchor it off, start at the bury and milk the slack toward the other end of the eye and give it a hard fast yank (still talking about the rope) kinda like a shock load. This is the method I use and it seems to work well for me.

Finally did something with this tREX that's been sitting around for 2 years. Neither turned out to be what I had originally planned but that's the way she goes sometimes.

Here is a kernmaster splice I decided to redo. I cut it into 1 inch pieces.

Yeah, my hands are still sore. It's been too long since I made a lanyard from some 16 strand.

I have spliced 16 strand and I would rather splice used kernmaster than do that again. Maybe if I had a toss wand it wound not be so bad.
