This will be pretty simple. Hope you don't mind. But I've only seen these in books until the Mr. found one in Sarasota, FL.
Thankfully it didn't have it's customary inhabitants!

I assume it is an Acacia and its customary inhabitants (of teh thorns) would be a mob of angry biting ants.
