Saw this ad. Thoughts?

You know what blew this thread up Colb? Some uninformed person talking child endangerment, law enforcement, and suggesting that the chipper was running with zero knowledge of the facts. When this individual was proven wrong he just couldn't manage to man up and own his wrongs. If I were in the same situation I would have called old Cory and apologized for being so off base with my assumptions and threats, but hey thats just me.

In my eyes you have shown yourself to be a man of very little integrity and honesty, so I'm gonna ask you to stay the fuck out of my business going forward, and I will return the favor. Agreed?

I know this is coming to the party late, but this is too far off to ignore.

There are 2 absolutely different possibilities that cannot co-exist. The history of the world kinda sucks where it is thought that there are no rights. People and freedom have thrived like never before in human history when those rights are recognized as self-evident.

Holy crap, I’m sorry to hear this. It’s certainly a white privilege to never even consider this a possibility.

For what it’s worth I’ve helped out with the kids pole climb at out local log show many times. I don’t fully agree with strapping gaffs on 5-8 year olds, but it’s not my call.

Just for the sake of argument, a helmet would do very little to protect this kid. Eye pro, and ear pro yes, hard hat I just don’t see it

Truths? Why is it that we believe that we are somehow not bound by the forces that surround us. The forces of life are cyclic, they are brutal, and we are a part of it.

With many countries becoming nanny states the claim that someone of white privilege no longer has to fear this possibility is probably not true anymore...

Integrity and honesty is one thing, misguided is another. Even the most honest and full of integrity person can be corrupted by bad company (1 Corinthians 15:33)

Believe it or not dobbing in your neighbour will likely increase in frequency especially in those countries and even states that have authorities and politicians sponsored by Soros. He worked with his foster father cleaning out Jews after the SS removed them and keeping their possessions. I am sure he wants to bring the good times back...

Brotherly love would be to be concerned and call/visit the persons one is concerned about and ask some questions, discuss ones concerns, wish him well, and rest easy maybe making a new friend or two...

If the promotional aspects concern you, it may not be obvious to the person concerned as they are not in the safety police environment to have needed to be concerned about it.

Best to encourage. Don’t want to turn TB into a Facebook page...

Would also be a wrong picture to broadcast that should hurt your eyes;
even if machine is off, gun kid is holding is unloaded etc. should be BRIGHT no-no flag or perverse curve forcefully back around to same.

Especially around us that should know the kinda devil chipper is;
and lead by example in such perilous territory that few could imagine properly.
(But like chainsaw; don't even need licensce for this overly lethal killer!)

Are you speaking of the photo of the boy near the chipper chute? If so it was posted on Corys Tree Service website by the owners of the company. The photo was brought to our attention on TreeBuzz by Tree Frog, who according to Cory is a nearby competitor in Florida.

A photograph of a kid in front of the chipper with his hands inside the chute is total bait, as much as any crappy click bait we see on FB, news websites etc. Fair to say as already mentioned the boy (or anyone in the same stance) is not in a safe position. Best guess is the chipper isn't running, even the worlds greatest moron wouldn't let a kid do that body/chipper positioning with the chipper running. We have no context, just "how it appears". This is pretty much how everything operates online these day, something is posed as outrageous either words or images, but out of context, everyone starts shooting at each other. Blah.

I can't read through the entire thread, has anyone sent Cory's Tree Service a friendly note saying "Hey dude, your photo of the kid leaning into the chipper chute is reverberating horror around the world, just so you know" ;-)

Spoke to Cory twice. The chipper was not running. During a lunch break the boy grabbed some duff and put it in the chute to imitate the old man. Mom took a pic and they posted it on their website. The reactions around here to this harmless pic even after knowing the facts is pretty fucking amazing.
