Ropeman mod.?

Here is my thought, I want to be able to use a Revolver with my Ropeman for M/A on limb walks if I am climbing SRT. Has anyone made the hole bigger (insert comments here) so the gate can slide through? It's not a life support component, and not much would have to come off for the gate to have enough clearance. I would guess this set up would still be safer than the wiregate revolver? Thoughts??

Use the wire gate model like you said. I don't see a safety issue with it, especially if you're only using it for MA. $0.02

A simpler solution than a Ropeman is a loop of cordage or webbing. Girth hitch it and clip the Revolver. Figure out what material grabs enough on your rope. Shoelace or throwline might be enough.

When you figure out the cordage tie a DogVine to hold the Revolver in position. A girth or prusik and off you go!

I'd probably use New England Tech Cord because it is stiff and springs open easier when unweighted.
