Rope bridge with rigging plate ends (Onyx in my case)

Been here much more than a while

Just got my Onyx and it came with the bridge up top and the center hole free. I have seen it done the other way also, so my question is which way do most of you guys and gals run it and prefer. Thanks.

It is more of a balance thing for me, guess I'm a little top heavy so I run in the top hole. The Onyx has lots of ways to adjust and that is minor but helpful.
I have a rook swivel pulley on the bridge so I don't find myself using the other hole on the rigging plate that much, perhaps out of habit but I think I should use it more, thanks for the reminder.

Am I the only person with the plate reversed? I use the small top and bottom holes for saddle attachment, middle hole for bridge, and largest hole facing out for lanyard attachment.

Bingo. Even with that it is annoyingly small, trying to figure out if I can augment with a pair of TM lower d's. I rock a couger by the way, not an onyx. Though I think the onyx may be my next purchase. I am just hoping to test drive one before I commit.

Monkeylove, what do you think of the Onyx so far? I'm about to pull the t rigger on one myself and would love to hear your thoughts.

Well it has been a while but...here are my thoughts on the Onyx w/ rope bridge.

1st hour out of box - I hated it, and so did my jewels.
2nd hour, adjusted some straps - slightly better but still not happy
3rd hour, more adjustments - okay but still not as nice as my Treefox was out of the box
4th hour, ding, ding, ding, hung both harnesses side by side and adusted straps to match. Duh..
Got about 40 hours in it since then mostly rec climbing, and some dead limb trimming of ice damaged stuff.
Love it now. Bottom line is adjust it until it feels right and maybe start by hanging your old comfortable harness next to and start there.
