That ring underneath the shembiner... that's not just a ditty ring that comes with the harness , is it? I have seen it on some MCRSs, but not on others. What is it? Where'd you find it?

It's on cougars too. I use to use it for clipping a saw.

Wow, I better make sure I take mine off any saddle I retire. I could not find them.

I believe the strap material is called Nybuck, ring is tight up to belt. I have some that are put on using screws and nut that looks like a rivet end, and some that are pounded over rivets.

I was thinking justmaking a small loop out of some stronger accessory cord with a double fishermans running through the gear loop and girthing it to a ring. (One from an old harness?)
But that configuration above looks real tight knit. Less floppy dangle.

Here you are. The paracord came untied on me so I covered it in Shoe Goo to lock it. It is really solid.

I did the same but have a split ring above the paracord.

Yes that ring comes sewn onto the harness. I clip the end of the saw lanyard to it.
