removal tie in options

Thanks for the kind words Ben. That was some crew we had back then....if I remember Scott M., Jeff R....and I forget who else. Gary P.? I forget. I must have had 100 employees over the years and I miss them all! Not! Hahaha.

BTW, when Scott M. quit and moved away he pawned off my range and fridge! I had to take the pawn shop to court to get them back. That kid had some sense of humor!

it was a big crew and all of them were complete retards. Christ, Your partner ran me over with a pickup. It was run and gun all day, you paid me 7 per hour when I left. Good thing I had my furniture refinishing business. Good thing I didn't rely on you to survive. You will die before you put enough money away if you are a direct employee of any tree co. That does not work for me.

My friend is finally quiting his job to work with me. We met at a company like Sussex Tree. I quit about 2 yrs ago when I was exhausted. He is about dead. I don't know why you need to have a big company like that. I can do what they can with half of the equipment. Between the two of us we enjoy the profits of working they way we want and poke fun at those who don't.

Danny, about that set-up we were talking about. I do know them all but do not use any. I also have a bad attitude, always have, real bad. Don't take it personally when I say $#@! to everybody on my way out. Go to bed it is late.

I use to ride with him and it was almost as dangerous in the pickup as it was under it!

.......and that $7. per hour was in 1990 dollars, LOL!

Hang in there Ben. You aren't the only one with attitude around here. It's good to hear your friend is joining you in the biz.

Best of luck.

Dan

When blocking out; i like a round turn on my lanyard right under the facing; for best support. As second tie in; if blocking out and not catching; i'll have my DdRT lower on a stob or krab/sling set; with the krab offset from the fall, but not on my side of the spar. Counting on the spar to not let the krab make to sharp of a bend at krab in line. Assuming no pre-existing stob to place DdRT on; and then just use sling/krab set as a keeper. Especially concerned; if spar is weak at some point, then have DdRT below weakness. Keeper also functions not to let DdRT ride up.

If blocking out and catching; i'll place a sling and 3 krabs for DdRT to run through on my side of the spar; in case i need to bail; and as backup to lanyard. i don't think SRT descent on friction hitch is good idea; especially in emergency. Because there is no helper leg of support for weight to unload to, to unload hitch well enough to allow hitch to slide smoothly, not burn, grab or freefall.

Can we just fight the good fight; and drop the negativity please?
