Really get after it

Training is tough to get, for sure. One idea is to go over a growth plan with your DM. Let them tell you where they’d like to see you in 3 mos, 6, 1yr, 2 yr. Then have a nuts and bolts conversation about what it will take to get you there. Here is where you can get them to commit to your development. It’s also a good time to talk about how compensation will change with each advancement you make.

Start off with how much you’re learning, and what all you appreciate about the company. Then go into the growth plan from the angle of how to make Davey your heading, and how to better contribute to the mission. If you’re sincere, it’s not slimy. If that’s not where you are and how you feel, it will be slimy.

The huge benefit from this approach- you can hold the DM accountable to their commitment if things aren’t moving forward, whether training or pay.

Hard to pull over the hips. They found the buckle more betta

Slowly lol Its become very obvious that most of my exp is centered around taking a tree apart quickly with little concern for safety so most days Im just a straight up groundie that does the occasional pear shaping. And its rough, being that I was head of everything at my last company, fastest and the only one able to do everything to now being the least expd, slowest at everything. I leave work almost everyday feeling incompetent and shitty because Im just incredibly hard on myself, worrying that the other crew members are frustrated with me because of my social anxiety. But I just keep telling myself that it wont always be this way, that eventually all the watching how others do things and the here and there practice will add up.

Thanks for checking on me :)
post up some video if you can. Thanks
