In that situation I use a bulk bag, dont know if you have them in the states, but its a big square sack about a cubic yard in size, designed to hold a ton of loose building materials such as sand or gravel ect. They are normally handled with a forklift truck, but when filled with rakings or hedge clippings they can be dragged with one person or lifted with two. They roll up into a convenient package in my truck and if you fold them half down they stand up on their own to be filled.
