Poison Ivy (not the rope)

Man is it hard to do a search for poison ivy!
Anyway here is a good video that makes very good sense concerning prevention,
The felled tree at the end is dicey however.

This has come up recently...scrub, exfoliate, don't just wash.

Oh- - - are you sure? That would open pores. You don't want that.

The ideal is to remove the iratant oil (with it's offending urisheol [sp] )without opening the pores up to take it any deeper into your body.

The product Zanfel has a great flyer enclosed for info on this. Must be on their website too.

I use Listerine for poison oak. Works very well for me

How do you use Listerine? Do you know what about it works?

I could understand Dawn. It cuts oil so well I use it on saw filters etc.

Cool wash, get the oil off.

Bummed I never got to come hang out and get to learn from you yet.

Had the oak pretty bad(for me at least, I don't get it bad enough to really avoid it) and was brushing my chompers and just got an urge to wipe my rash down with the listerine. looked it up on the internet and lots of stuff popped up. Mine was gone a day or two later

Alcohol is a solvent, and Listerine has a lot of alcohol in it, so that makes sense... would help wash the oil away. Dish soaps are surfactants, also good for washing oil/grease away.
