Pic of the year! 2012

Nice pic of a Doug fir removal we did over the last summmer in Portland. Dan Oliver (one of the finest climbers I've worked with) is on the stick.

Riggs purchased some XRR slings. Plus he's been using that Backbone.

He sent this picture to me with a text that said something like, "Am I using these right? Practicing for tomorrow?"

I have alot of good pictures , good shots too. I have to say though that this oak tree in Maryland I did this summer was a cool tree . Look in this picture and tell me you don't see another old mans face besides myself . Kinda creepy , soul of that Oak . Other pics were posted this past summer . The face on the left side of that pic in the tree , was pointed out to me by many people . This is my pic for 2012. I have hero shots too , but this ol tree gets my respect.

Bix,

This isn't toward you at all. This is toward the entire thread of "pic of the year", this year.

The compilation of pictures this year is by far the worst ever.

so many of them are just every day pictures. Poor lighting, ordinary specimen trees, ordinary work, ordinary background scenery.

I think part of the problem was, there was no rules set in the beginning, such as limit, two pictures total and the pictures need to be very good so that the thread is not boring.

I am part of the problem, I don't know if I have something that qualifies this year. It's hard to get a great picture.

I haven't looked yet.

Some of the pictures have been good. Don't know if anything is GREAT.

I'm still hoping Roger Barnett can pull something off here before too long... are we allowed to keep posting after the new year??? What are the rules?

looks like other years, we posted after the year ended.

Well, I looked at last years anyway;

I just looked at the first page, pretty good pictures if I do say so myself.

I think 2010 we had some rules, like 2 pictures maximum, so pick the best of all your pictures.

Maybe, submit before the end of January, I don't know, I don't really care.

Just try to fill the thread with pictures that show a lot, that have a wow factor.
