Just wondering if these run smaller than the size given on the Sherrill website? Any idea why they only have a size 37 and 39 available? Looking at treegear.com they have them as sm. med. and lg. Thanks for any info!

Just to clear up...we typically hold stock of S, M & L. They are also available in XS & XL as well as -5cm & +7cm lengths, but we usually have to get these in to order. Otherwise between 2 colors, all the sizes and length variations there are just too many combinations!

Size chart attached.

As well as Gladiators we have the regular Arborist Stretch-Airs, the Kevlar Extremes & also the non-protective climbing trousers.

my stretch airs blew out last week while deadwooding a hemlock. only had them for 1 year and only wore them about once a week. my arborwear techs are not as comfortable but still in good condition after 3 years+ use.

i'm disappointed, thought the stretch airs were indestructable? I know this has nothing to do with the post, but I'm peeved. could have had 4-5 pairs of tech pants, or 3-4 pairs of a different softshell for that price.

I bought them from sherrill, I contacted customer service. The said I am SOL.

They also had a hole in the crotch when I got them but it was small enough I didn't bother.

Wow, that's the sort of thing I don't let slip anymore. Got to get on it ASAP or it just goes out the window. You may want to escalate it to a manager and eventually to Tobe himself. Keep it cool and explain your logic for believing it's a warranty issue. They may see your point.

Still got 'em? Me and my sewing machine may be interested in taking them off your hands!

Got a pair in a fortnight ago. Usually i work in the aborist stretch pants size S +7. I found the gladiator smaller than the arborist. They fit but it is tight.

They are well made and overall i think a better quality than the arborist.

However, be warned these pants are freaking HOT. For sure a super winter pant. Now in fall (wee bit of a hot one i have to say) i have the greenhouse effect in my pants, so far even that my phone is starting to breakdown due to all the humidity.

i am going to use the old ones an till the winter comes along..

maarten for the summer you should have got the new Gladiator COOL Ventilation pants, 25% lighter, and for better breathability the gladiator material is sans coating , no ankle cuffs/gaiters, and vented mesh below the waist.

Gladiator COOL trousers

Not in the field yet. But the weight difference when you pick them up side by side feels significant enough to be worthwhile alone. And i'm sure they will be cooler too. I will try to get some feedback vs the original StretchAir Arborist trouser.

HOT is an understatement! went from the sips to these and there is a big difference in comfort as far as how hot they are in the summer. How do the cool version compare to to the sips? Overall very happy with the gladiators for comfort and movement.
