I should clarify, paracord is not as tightly woven and does not have as firm core/sheath fit as the 3/16" polyester cords that #JeffGu and #Tuebor posted. The 3/16" is thicker than standard paracord and seems to have a relatively heavier/tight cover, it is much more firm therefore more fiber per the 3/16" diameter. It is very good for the use you described, it will last much longer than paracord. Paracord is fine, it just doesn't hold up as well over time.

CPL weeks ago I was at the army Navy store checking out their Paracord and they had 100ft sections of some stuff that was thinner and much tighter braid than 7strand 550paracord. Wow this stuff is great for throwing...10 times better than Paracord and the ball almost always drops to ground on its own...so far holding up well and less stretch so this is the way to go if not buying real throwline.

What is its diameter? Do you have more details about it? material, price this kind of info..
