other good forums

Caleb, Mark and Tom would brobably chime in and tell you just as readily as anyone else. If you were having lunch with me or anyone here that's a fair enough question. But when you ask it in this forum that specific people have put heart and soul into building, and is being run as a business as indicated by the adds companies pay to have on here, you may want to ask in a sheepish way with hat in hand. That's just my thought anyway, I get so much out of all the information and experience represented here but, all of that is only available to me because of who built and maintains this sight.

Feel free to send me a private message.

So does that mean I should not ask advice about Husqvarna chainsaws, because Mark is affiliated with Stihl? I see BMG grapples has an ad on the side of this page, should I not ask about what might be a good grapple? In fear of offending the sponsors?
I feel there are tons of forums that are very useful to all! Just as Tom has mentioned in his thread, Why not seek advice from like minded people.

Seems like you're really asking Royce so.... First off you can do anything you like, obviously. Second, I am recomending that since we are on THIS 'hard won' forum it would be a useful thing to 'tip your hat', 'show respect', 'bring it up with hat in hand.' If a person disagrees with me I'm fine with that. If I'm wrong ok.

If you really believe I'm wrong and you own a tree service then when you're out doing your jobs I would think you would have to be fine with "Acme Tree Service" coming and placing a sign in front of your jobsight with their ph no. on it.

Of course if an/the owner of this sight steps in and says it's ok that's their right altogether. Or if they say that running this as a bussiness has no importance....

You make me laugh. The original post was asking about "What are some other forums that climbers think are informative?" A very good question. I find a forum on proper nutrition to be helpful for keeping me in shape, and keeping me to be able to climb well. How does that interfere with Tree Buzz?

Ahh, opportunity then.

If you are ever faced with a life altering or threatening disease and care more that you live and how you live than what you eat, look upThe PH Miracle book and supporting web sight.

If you are ever dealing with allergies that take away from the quality of life look up NAET, Naumbudrapods (sp) Allergy Elimination Technique.

If your muscles and bodies mechanical function is causing you grief and to lose out on life. Or that works normal demands for movement and function can injure you or life can make you feel old, look up “essentialsomatics” from Martha Peterson or the original book by the late founder, Somatics by Thomas Hanna.

Hey, thats the great thing with this fourm, were allowed to mention other foums without beeing banned or censored. Other treerelated forums out there are: www.arbortalk.co.uk, www.arboristsite.com and www.masterblasterhome.com.

(I am kind of amused that the "liberal" americans in AS, think the best way to keep their customers (readers), is to censor and ban, when people speak of other places (kind of like what Kim Jong does in North korea)) While here, the product stands for itsself!

Thats why I love it here. Until Merle tried to change it and make it weird!!

"Circle" by the late Harry Chapin:

"All my life's a circle, sunrise and sundown
The moon rolls through the nighttime, till the daybreak comes around
All my life's a circle but I can't tell you why
The season's spinnin' round again the years keep rollin' by

It seems like I've been here before, I can't remember when
But I got this funny feelin' that I'll be back once again
There's no straight lines make up my life and all my roads have bends
There's no clear-cut beginnings and so far no dead-ends

I found you a thousand times I guess you've done the same
But then we lose each other it's just like a children's game
But as I see you here again, a thought runs through my mind
Our love is like a circle, let's go 'round one more time

All my life's a circle, sunrise and sundown
The moon rolls through the nighttime, till the daybreak comes around
All my life's a circle but I can't tell you why
The season's spinnin' round again, the years keep rollin' by

Oh all my life's a circle, sunrise and sundown
The moon rolls throught the nighttime till the daybreak comes around
All my life's a circle but I can't tell you why
The season's spinnin' round again, the years keep rollin' by

Oh all my life's a circle there's sunrise and sundown
The moon rolls throught the nighttime"

"Circle" by the late Harry Chapin ...
Harry Chapin sang some great stories.
Posting in an online forum must be done in accordance with whatever rules apply. First Amendment rights do not apply in forums run, operated, and funded by non-public interests. But it is good to be part of a forum which has, thus far, kept a positive attitude ... fosters learning and growth.

Treebuzz has nothing to worry about, they can stand on the reputation they have built. This is the best Arborist forum out there and it has the best members. Sometimes I make a broader google search when researching a topic to see which forums have related threads. I sometimes get good info that answers my questions without having to create a new thread, but when I can't find answers...This is where I go. The folks here are the best of the best!

I must agree this Is the best forum. I'm pretty new here but can already see a major difference in better attitude here than over on arboristsite. Not trying to talk ish or anything just an observation. Seems like the forums over there have a lot of bad mouthing/ jerkish attitude. Everyone here seems really nice.:)

I appreciate the support here gang! That'd why we keep this place up and running and why we are making improvements every day. It's true, I have no problem with any member sharing good info here. Even if it's from another similar site. I never worry about others and just do my thing. I also appreciate the respect that Merle mentioned. Thanks for that. The one thing I don't like is commercial comments from non paying individuals that only come here to serve their needs and nothing more. They will be weeded out if they do not become supporters. All else is cool.
