Sorry, but the ButterFly didn't work out like I had hoped. Pinched my legs, bridge is working wrong for me. I tryed to adjust it and still and still no go. Right now I'm leaning towards the Master 2 Deluxe, as I',loking the fixed attachment points. So here are my ideas, please just choose one or give comments on only these, as I'm still looking for one under $300. Thanks again

1. Master 2 Deluxe
2. Glide
3. Don Blair Ultra Light
4. New Tribe, unspecifed at the moment, but Stumper can probaly help in that area.

Thanks for the help and again, sorry about posting this again.

Yer giving up waaaay too soon dude. You gotta take several climbs to get the adjustment right.

The bridge is pretty long and that takes some getting used to. I replaced mine with a piece of rope and made it a touch shorter... but only a touch. That long bridge turns out to be an asset when you're double crotching and working some tough positions.

Where is the BF pinching you? If it's crunching your Charlie Browns you definitely have the leg loops too high, I have mine just slightly above mid-thigh. They have to be tight enough to not slip easily and when the harness is weighted the leg attachments should be pulling almost straight up (slightly inward).

If you're climbing in blue jeans that's probably part of the problem, try BDU or Arborwear pants, something with a gusseted crotch. Blue jeans are really uncomfortable as climbing britches.

RangerDanger, don't give up so soon. I will be calling your Dad tomorrow and we will set up a rec climb A.S.A.P. I do not own a Butterfly 2 but I do have a Master 2. You can try it out, how about that. Atleast let me hook up with you before you deside to send that harness back. Ok?

Thanks guys. Might climb in it again tommorrow and try it one more time. Going to tighten it up and mess around with it. If this dosen't work, I'll probalt send it back, get the refund and wait. Thinking of what to do next. Thanks again everyone

my experience has been

part of it is breaking in your new equipment...
part of it is your new equipment breaking you in...

Thanks guys. I'm sending it back this week and am just going to save up. My Dad convinced me to save up for the TM, so thats what I'm going to do. My other saddle is comfortable for the time being and I don't do alot of climbing, so time is not a factor. On the BF, I think it was just an impluse buy. I had finally gotten the money for a new saddle and I was just itching to spend it. But after sitting back and looking at the whole picture, I feel I made the wrong buy. I know some people on here have probaly done the same thing. Thanks for the advice guys

I use the master II and had some time to break it in. Like all new things ya gotta work with it to get it comfy. heck took me 2 weeks to get my boots to not kill my feet. Right now I am biffing myself in the head lightly for not even thinking of bridging the outter attachent pionts together, till I read it in a thread. HMMMMMMMM new climbing style comming up. Thnxs to all for simple but great ideas. Ranger dont give up just tweak it here and there.

You need to look more carefully at ascenders that can be used as part of your SRT system. Heights of up to 100' in 35 seconds are acheived with practice. The recreational and industrial implications are endless.

Man, this is just confusing. I may buy the TM, but I am also thinking of the Master's Deluxe. I was told the TM sits low on you, and as a begineer, may not like it. I might just go with the MD and wait on the TM, see if anything new comes out it the next few years. Thanks for the help.

I have a master 2 deluxe but I have taken BF2 clevises and made a floating bridge. Seems to sit just like a BF2 but with the many attachment points you can move the clevises around to make it fit your style. I defiantly would get the deluxe the regular on is not near as comfortable and the sweat absorbing stuff seems to work quite well. I think it is a great saddle not sure if I would buy another on with out looking a little harder at the glide and BF2 but sure wouldn't think twice about recommending it. Also the side Dees are a great size nice a big. It is made by Buckingham you can't go wrong there at least imo.

You just got the BFII. I say play around with the set up and the leg straps. The TM is a good saddle but you already have a good saddle that is brand spanking new.

Alright, last poll. One question though, on the TM, I heard it sits low on you and I'm not sure if I would like that, thats why I'm considering these other saddles. Let me know what you think of these three and which I should buy. The BF2 is on its way back. Thanks for the help.

Thanks guys. Going with the Master's Classic Deluxe. Just ordered it today. My Dad talked to the people at Sherrill and they said its well worth it, so I'm hoping I made the right decsion this time. Should be in by Friday or Saturday. Thanks again
