Oh the irony! Squirrel Rescue

I got to the site and the squirrel's owner had a huge light on a tallish thin Norway maple. I got the first throw where I wanted it, throwbag hung up on a small stub. I put some pressure on the throwline to see if I could get the bag free, bounced the crown pretty good, the squirrel ran down the trunk. Game over. Did a quick climb to retrieve my throwbag.

If this is a modern take on Aesop's fable of the Lion and the Mouse, I expect sometime in the future that you're gonna find yourself lanyarded in to multiple branches, looking almost like you've gotten yourself hopelessly tied up in an intricacy of knots. Along comes your new-found squirrel friend, seeing an opportunity to re-pay your kindness, and blithely chews through your basal anchor to set you free.
