North American Tree Climbing Championship

I'm thinking about biting the bullet and signing up. I'll be just getting back from the TCIA Winter Management conf., so I know I'll need to keep costs down. Any brave souls wanna split a room with me if I can pull it? I only fart a lot if we eat Mexican and drink a lot of cheap beer. Easist to reach me on my email address: arbordude@hotmail.com. See You there?????

WARNING!!!! If you shack with Noel you WILL be scarred for life!

Found this place to stay, nothing fancy but looked pretty decent. It is 10 miles from the park but it is only $50 a night.

I think the fine dining within walking distance is the selling point for me!

I saw a campground that is $25 a vehicle a night that is about 10-15 minutes away. Its called Skidway Island. fwiw

From what I heard today there is 65 non southern chapter climbers and 16 southern. 4 slots will be held open for those last minute southern climbers. They will allow multiple climbers from same company. Also from how I understand it, the southern chapter winner will be the highest scorer in southern chapter after prelims. If it happens that a southern chapter climber gets in masters but was not top scorer he/she then has a chance to win natcc.

I hear there are 2 spots open for Southern Chapter members. After Friday I hear they are going to let climbers from the waiting list fill those spots, so Southern climbers sign up soon if you haven't already!

Well at least we're running it in the middle of the summer with nice long sunny days.....
