Noob Update/ Rough Draft

Figured easier than posting in ten different places and I am totally open for critique and advice with the disclaimer I am not doing this professionally and love the act of making use of what I can, kind of living in a project mobile home and goal is off the grid mobile musician/explorer sooooo funds can be tight at times, XD.

So the rundown: 4 mm soft cordage for friction, climbing ring 1.5 in inner diameter, climbing line is 12.5mm Blueriver Ropes Safety Line the pulley I'd a camp mini and a Pretzel Bobbin. The twist tie is what I am working on (just for demonstration of a hard tether). I am thinking either modify the bolt on the second bushing to allow me to attach a hard tether peripheral, ie on the outside of the gates or how how to make a hard tether attachable to the second bushing without having to thread it around the full side of the bushing, see second photo.

Yeah, SUPER new, but kind of obcessed, like have been diving in for the last 2 months and figured I'd finally join in the mix!!!

Looks functional, the 4mm friction cord is the weak link as far as staying alive goes, you can burn through it pretty quick in normal use. There are so many inexpensive life support quality hitch cord options out there it's a worthy small dollar investment for peace of mind at height.

I did it! Not the stitch hitch, still failing on the ring locking in the friction hitch for some reason, BUT the rope wrench from a bobbin and random doodads works well! Almost too well, XD.

The second bobbin has a 5mm looped on itself to create two ends that I can run through the rings/binder. This keeps the bobbin from tending up on the back side and falling down the rope (if I fall, it pulls tension through the middle, engaging the 'wrench', but without any tension, the weight of the bobbin holds in the proper orientation and tends with a slide of the carabiner)!!!

Still want to figure out this stich hitch better though... Then all will be pretty good till I can save for the fancy mechanical stuff, :).

Second photo you can barely see, but there is a bend up the line under tension, :).
