No SRT this year?????

9 of 30 climbers in the Indiana comp used SRT in their work climb. The winner used SRT in the masters although he was the only one that was able to climb in the Masters because of a thunderstorm.

I think the equipment finally caught up to the concept. Thanks Kevin !!!!!

Yes
Nice one Kevin and Morgan
I'm curious about RW in the aerial rescue-
A current common access method seems to be footlocking both ropes then installing a Ddrt system- either on the access line or in the tree-
Ranger- did you take the time to thread the RW tie your hitch? Midline RW or not?
How did others use SRT for the rescue?

I typically will use a footlock prussic and footlock up to the climber, with my RW set up on a climbing line ready to go in a back pack. Then i either tie it off in the tree or use a floating false crotch off the Footlocking prussic. Not too different then commonly used with Ddrt. In the AR i've learned the hard way to keep it simple!!!

I used the RW this year for the AR in Ontario. I ascended dDRT and had the RW in a backpack ready to anchor to a branch above the victim, connected it to the victim and descended. I found it very quick and efficient.
Unfortunately the head judges wouldn't allow me to use it in the work climb or the masters (If I finished in the top 4)
Maybe next year?

Well done
So to clarify- the victim was the one on the RW and you stayed on Ddrt??

For those tying in to the tree SRT after ascending, what is a quicker way than tying a Running Bowline with Yosemite?

I put a mini floating prussic on my srt line ( much like some put on there lanyards) then I flip the biner on the end of my rope around the desired limb and connect it to the floating prussic. And away I go. No knots required much faster in my opinion.

Yes, I stayed on Ddrt and lowered the the victim on a SRT line, which is anchored to a branch using a running bowline with yosemite.
I like your knotless approach Derrick. I'll have to keep that in my tool box for next year (if they let me use the RW again)
