No PPE?>

No not bragging just that twisted humor I have. The climber really is wearing a helmet just improperly at the moment. Some people choose to smoke even though million die from cancer I choose take my hard hat off when I get hot and put it on my saddle until I cool down or I am making a cut that I feel I would be safer with the hard hat on.

You can snap a shot of me anyday of the week in a tree with out a hard on the bigger picture is that its on 90% time and that is when I am working.

I guess I could, I usually just pop it off to wipe the sweat off it and myself and let it air out a minute and pop it back on. I been pretty good with keeping it on as with everyone on the crew.

Ha

I got to see the flick, no sound though but it might be that way. You might need to get a well vented helmet but I'd like a fan in mine ... I wear a sweat band then the helmet on that with a chin strap ... even then that fills up and you get salty eyes.

What's the $750 fine all about? Who'll give you that?

Oh Big Jon, what were you farting around cutting twigs off for up there anyway, as if that's gonna make a difference? Oh, maybe you were counting them ... I'm sure I saw you pointing with your saw counting something. But seriously, what were you doing? /forum/images/graemlins/bigeyes.gif

I was waving my magic wand. We work at some really nice homes where the people are picky and don't want an ounce of deadwood. Sometimes thats all there is up in the tree is deadwood the size of soda straws or smaller. So when told to dead wood a tree you have to find something. They do look really nice when your done. I agree taking the tiny stuff out does nothing for the trees health.

Or the appearance, for the most part. You don't really even see that nit-picking stuff from the ground, anyway!

Ha, how good a job is that.

You just cruise around with your handsaw looking busy. I reckon you'd leave your 15' pole saw on the ground or you'd be finished too quick.

What sort of tree was it?, appeared very strong for a big guy like you out on that tip, you wouldn't be doing that on some of the snappy eucs we have ... and the tips is the only place you get foliage. On intricate deadwoods and thins I use a tower coz getting to the tips is /forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I saw the other vid too where you did some bizaar moves and went under the branch and busted ya gut getting back on top... that was funny, two life lines are a tremendous help for those situations ... or use the tail of your existing one, but you were posing off.

You oughtta see that Nathan fella get back ontop of the branch once he's gone underneath ... I'll put the vid up, TreeTx's adventures downunder. The company he works for is spoilt having him around ... preety darn good.

That was an oak tree. I believe it was a red it was sometime ago. I dont remember too many of the trees I climbed. It was a good gig. Some trees we would climb and not even take our hand saw out of our scabboard.

I must be tired Mark, I didn't know you posted a joke.

I'm doing my best here in NJ to represent.

Re-read what I first quoted you as saying! Too funny. Treeclimbing is the best, but I don't like to climb with my "big deal" in the way! /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah I'm still laughing about that one. Too funny. No comment on your "big deal". I'll leave that one alone.
