NJTCC

1st Mark Chisholm
2nd Troy Tuttle
3rd Rory McMannis(sp?).... (he's a third year climber and his second TCC!!...good show Rory)

We had a great day at an awesome site. Saw alot of new faces and 1st time competitors

Doug Ralph I placed 7th I was in the group with Mark. If you saw Mark climb I was the guy that always went right before he did. I was the only guy with the tree austria plus I had them bright orange suspenders you couldn't have missed.

Good show Doug!

I was the head judge at the aerial rescue.

Was this your first NJ comp? Also, give me some input on the event, did you have a good time?, did you like the location?, did it run smoothly?, do you have a bitch about anything?, etc.....

Input from the competitors is appreciated and not slighted. We want to make the NJTCC a premier event in the ISA world.

Yes this was my first time. I was pretty happy on the most part for the way things were run. The only thing I was disappointed on was that they changed the work climb. I have really worked on speed and that didn't come into the scoring at all as it normally would have. I know my group had to wait quite a while for the work climb while we still had one event left. If they do it that way again I would make it optional for anyone that is waiting at a backed-up station could go to their other events if the station is emtpy.

The other problem was for the spectators . They were turned away from eating anything until all the climbers had eaten. It was great it was free food but maybe a small type of vendor for spectators to eat whenever they would like.

I am not sure if this is of importance but I guess it couldn't hurt. I don't know if ISA is looking for a larger spectator turn out but I was very suprised that there wasn't a sign for the comp. until you were at the gate for the garden.

Forgot to mention how very helpful and nice both the judges and climbers were. The day had a warm feeling to it and made it a very enjoyable.

As a spectator off on the side lines and wondering around you all did great job. As for me I will see in the future what my body says for competeing( lifted a bit to much).
As a spectator I do not mind waiting to eat, it is like waiting for the thumbs up to jump when bungee jumping, you can enjoy the moment more when you know the time is right. Besides that the you are the competitors and we are the spectators you do not grub and you do not climb well, and where is the fun in that.
Great place and great comp. to all
