Well I just got home from my first comp. and what a good time. Congrats to Mark for is 15th straight win. There was some pretty good climbers with a good mix of ages. Unfortantly I don't have all the results I am sure Mark or someone will be posting them soon enough.

There was only 20 guys this year which made for a little early day. They changed the work climb to the older master climb and just used the work climb as the masters together. Time started from the ground and there was no traditional limb walk just get there how ever, along with no time bonus (u got 25 min.) or a landing bonus or limb toss.

We had some good weather for a pretty smooth day besides the back up at the work climb. Looking forward to next year and hopefully I won't be sick with bronchitis but I guess I can't complain with a 7th place finish.

You did great Doug. First time and all. Can't wait to see how you do next year.

Last year was Rory's first comp. He placed 10th last year. This year he placed 3rd! Great job Rory. (He was in our group too.)

The work climb was different for sure. Someone had the idea to replace the work climb with a "Master's" that everyone would do. It was different. I'd like to hear how everyone thought it went?

I think that it has to be changed for next year. Time gets all messed up when one event runs 2-3 times longer than the others.

Oh, and Doug, you could've went to the Footlock before the WC if you wanted. I guess word never got to you?

And 1 more thing- 14 not 15 /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif Don't make me sound better than I am.

14 or 15 whos counting anymoore /forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gifCongrats Mark!
I was there for the morning and wished I had competed ,but thought the work climb was a little funny in that format IMO you might as well just let everyone try to throw into the tree first ,25min was a lot of time for that climb ,I just wasnt sure that throwing after you already did the climb saved that much time and I dont now how the scores would workout if you didnot get a shot in five did you lose everything?that would be frustrating .In a true masters challange its five shots and your done.I liked the old format allot better with the speed as a factor as well but just my opinion.
