Nick makes the news!

Yeah, but they got it wrong. They said he was from Los Angeles, not Wisconsin!

I actually told the lady "well, I'm FROM WI, but I live in LA now." I don't think she realized how serious I was!

I sorta chuckled when I read that. But, it's something nice to send home to mom and dad!

I know where you're coming from Nick. I'm from Boston originally and one time, when I was back home, my sister introduced me and said "this is my brother; he's from Baltimore". I replied, "Nice to meet you, but actually, I'm from Boston: I just live in baltimore." /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

lately I've been living out of my duffel bag

Hmmmmm. A little too cramped for me. I'll take Baltimore. /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

right on Jim, im originally from Boston as well, and now i reside in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. I was raised for 8 years in the west suburbs of Chicago and as some of you may very well know, people from illinois are not liked among the college crowd up here. so i usually get the shoulder for being from illinois, but no, Bean Town is where the heart is... how bout those red sox :-(

Uh-oh....not again!!!

A couple weeks ago, I took a couple radio show hosts for a tree climb here in Los Angeles. The show is called Weekend America http://weekendamerica.publicradio.org/ and it airs on over 140 stations across the country.

So they are playing the show this weekend. I know in Los Angeles, it airs 1-3pm on 89.3 KPCC. If you click on http://weekendamerica.publicradio.org/about/stations.php you can find where it might be airing in your area. I've been informed that if you CAN'T get it in your area, it will be available for free on the Weekend America website one hour after it airs. I'll give the link when the time comes.

Hope you all enjoy it!

Re: Uh-oh....not again!!!

Nick, it sounds like you're going Hollywood. You're becoming such a celebrity. Next we'll be hearing about saddle signing sessions. /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

All kidding aside, congratulations, I think you're really helping the field as a whole.

Rookieclimber, didn't see your post before. Love the Sox. And I'm still a ardent follower of all the B'town teams. Guess I always will be.

Re: Uh-oh....not again!!!

Here it is! Now, I'm slightly saddened that they spelled and pronounced my name wrong, but all in all, I'm pleased with how it turned out. Tell me what you think!

Click to listen

It is also available as a podcast, but really I don't know what that means.
