Nick you ol' rock star you. Well done. Looking forward to meeting you in MN. What part of LA are you from? My daughter lives in San Dimas and I get to the 3rd St. Promanade in Santa Monica whenever I'm in town. Lived in L.B. for a long time and LOVE L.A.

Hearing Nick's voice in the mix was nice! Having taken some media types climbing I can imagine what it really looked like behind the microphone.
Teh story sounded exotic but not crazed. This is the type of publicity tree climbing needs. Less "X-Games" type impressions.

Bill, the male host, was the one trying to make it X-gamish. He tried to FLY up the tree (and did a pretty good job) and kept comparing it to "hardcore" sports like rock climbing....I tried to keep his comparisons in check. The final radio version was much gentler than it coulda been!
I live near Griffiths Park, by the 5 and the 134. Whiz, get a hold of me next time you come down!

And once again...PBS!
On Wednesday May 16th at 630pm and at 1am the next morning, KCET/PBS (channell 28) in Los Angeles will be airing a segment on tree climbing on their show Life and Times. It was a climb I did a couple weeks ago at Topanga Canyon State Park.
Anyone in LA, San Bernadino, North San Diego County, and much of the rest of Southern CA will be able to see it if they get KCET.
They are sending me a DVD copy (since I don't have a TV!!) and I am going to TRY to get it online.
I hope SOMEONE gets to see it!
