Just wanted to post this even though it's a couple days old. It's really something to witness the difference between the arid air in Colorado vs. the humidity of the Northeast. OK, technically I was wearing 2 t-shirts, but still, I'm just sayin'...

Happy New Year to everyone out there. Have a safe and productive 2012! WWOOOOO!!!!

YOu brought back some great memories of climbing in/near Boulder!

At the turn of the 19th Century the English would refer to the first decade, at least by the term...The year one...the year twelve...I kinda like the way that sounds!

Climb on!

After the age of ten, we become eleven...but eleventeen sounds cooler!

I can hear the English now; "The year (of our lord?) Two Thousand Twelve-Teen".

Modern English?; "Hey bro, it's like totally Twenty Twelve"!

Or like an older Stihl owner; "It's Two-O-Twelve, but I think the year Two-O-O-O was made much better and lasted longer."

Are we to expect any more glitches like Y2K, or can we wait until the year 2100, or 3000, or 10,000?

Whoa flashback! I just may have pruned that there tree back in '91. i worked for boulder tree and did alot of the municipal work in and around Boulder. We spent several days in Canyon Park for sure. The Flat Irons, My Bro his roommate and I free climbed the third from the left. 300 ft up I agreed I should have gone left. They had to finish their climb and come help me to my next( 8 inch away) grab. Damn what a place! Thanks!

We live in such a small world, and that tree has some killer fun swings in it. I didn't want to leave. BTW, I just drove by the ABC trucks parked in the Tiverton DPW lot. You still with them?

Well I thought I posted.

Still with them? I am them. I am on the Cape running a sleepy little tree care company working toward my big break. I was in Jamestown at my Bro's and saw them rolling through. Looks like a decent company.

What were you doing in Boulder?

I get back there once in a while as my other Bro is in Montrose. If I hadn't got married and had two awesome children and built my own place here I was headed there. I'll be back! Boulder Tree is long gone as I knew it. Probably for the best Stephan was somewhat of a control freak. I wonder what came of the other guys?

My girlfriend's family lives in the Denver area, so we went out for a couple weeks surrounding the holidays. I had to bring the climbing gear or I would have lost my mind seeing great trees to climb with a bunch of time off and no gear...tried to meet up with a fellow 'Buzzer', but it fell through due to high winds on the only day he had free. Bummer, since I was looking forward to meeting more true professionals.

So, what's the big break you're working towards? Seems like owning something like what you've got is decent...

If you hadn't been such a slob, I wouldn't have had to get so freaky!

It is decent but the Five Year Plan is to finish my certifications expand the co. a little and be able to spend more time with the family, as I definitely do not spend enough time now. Competition my way is fierce, so I set small goals and achieve them. It's all Good!
