new work truck

Chevy is sweet, yo uwill be happy, hopefully the body comes out good. I have 2 Cummins stuck into those crappy dodges, Front end sucks, trans suck, but love the motor. All cleaned up and with everything serviced, Its a nice truck to drive. comfy and lots of power. I'm die hard CHev, but i got a deal on these trucks, and I will admit they have grown on me quite a bit. If only they had a Cummins with an Allison in a Chevy. That would be a truck!

I got the truck yesterday. It's awesome. I got a quad cab for family reasons. I needed a grocery getter and a work truck. The chevy fit the bill perfectly.

It's got great horse power and I've yet to add a air intake or programmer.

I'll take a picture of the truck I was driving before I took the plunge (into debt). It's a 1987 toyota pickup 4x4. The bed rusted out so I constructed a new one out of wood. It makes for a great mini deck for above ground pools and it's on sale for 1000 bucks.

I will also take new pics of the new truck. It's awesome

Was the new truck a necessity? You should have stole it.

LOL

I never did understand that signature quote. But there's nothing like getting a new truck. Hope you enjoy it and get good use from it!

The trunk was a necessity. I desperately needed something reliable, that could make me money and get me to work and get the kids to school (not yet but I'm thinking future)

The quote is from tim barry, an incredible punk/country singer. He used to be the front man for avail for those punk rock enthusiast out there.

As for how I can afford this stuff. I'm honestly tapped out for a while with the truck. Before that I had no real bills. Cellphone, rent, cable. That's it. Now I live with my future inlaws to help save to buy a farm. Hoping that in a year or two I'll have a good deposit saved up.

A big part that most of you don't see is the turn around of my gear. I already got rid of the ergovation. Just sold my treeflex. Lockjack is gone.

If I don't use it or like it I push it quick to try something else. I trade for gear or just sell it off. I save the money from all sold gear to go toward future purchases.

In no way am I made of money but I do work almost 7 days a week. I just try to enjoy my money. Spending it on gear seems like the best bet. If could potentially save me time and energy and I get to report back to y'all to let ya know my findings. It's a win win if ya ask me.

Congrats on the new truck, I have the same one expect extended cab. I wouldn't do the intake unless your going to be pushing a really big tune. Turbo back exhaust and tuner are the ticket, when you pull off the stock exhaust and look inside you will know why. The stock tires are really bad in the snow and mud and are the first thing to change for alot of people including me.

Psycho billy is it's own genre all together. A little similar in sound, yes, but lyrically speaking there is no compairson. Also, there is no set timing to psycho billy. Although it's good, I prefer country punk.

As for the farm and truck treedimentional, unless it's in the nj area I wouldn't be able to take you up on the offer.

Simon, I am looking into an exhaust but without the dpf I'll never pass the emmissions part of the nj inspection. Which means I'll be switching the exhaust back and forth from stock to after market every two years.
