New Toro Tx 1000 Wide Track

My buddy loves to burn them in his outdoor wood boiler. Oh and he has a knuckleboom so you know where the non mill quality logs go...did I mention he takes this shit for free, and thanks me, and thanks me again when he works on my trucks and only charges me his cost for parts?
Guys when you have a outdoor wood boiler it gets rid of big, ugly, and cheap wood quite easily. . not to mention its free heat. I give a good portion of my wood away as well. But this is how i made this chunk of atlantis disappear. 20161214_124306.webp 20161214_124449.webp

Nice but you can't get away with them in residential areas.
They are getting banned in many areas i had one worked great for me burnt all my waste wood. Sold house and moved wanted another one but the first guy in town smoked out his neighbors and they banned them right away. They are nice if you can have one.

OK since this is a mini thread, how about this for an invention by someone. How about a turn around plate a little bigger than the 4x4 plywood that is the best we can create by the makers of the fabricated pieces made to drive on. I want a diamond plate unbreakable plastic (light) 7' diameter circle. I want to order 5 or 6 for strategic locations on a job to 360 or just pivot.
That'd be nice to have. I'd think a pair of 5x3 mats together would be perfect for pivot points, yet still be nice and small to easily find a spot for them on the truck.

Don't need no stinking mats with articulating loaders

I have a Garn, only clean burning wood stove I believe you can buy. A blower burns the wood full blast and it stores the heat in a 1500 gallon tank. It actually is rated to have a side discharge chimney.
eats up a lot of my shop space with wood and all indoor- but in floor heating is the best. It was spendy alsoGarn06.webp

I thought about the garn alot.. Just hate splitting my wood and having to start it every day.. My central boiler is almost smoke free. I burn huge chunks about 3 years old.

Forget the slab...Should see what a table made out of a fat cottonwood slab gets!

Um no...forget that, you guys keep (the market up by) throwing your logs away.

 I'll keep doing just that. Everyone else, keep chucking away those logs.

Just need to write in 2 or 3 extra man hours on each per day job for k turns and get out bid by smarter arbs with mini skids :) Ouch.
Geez, guess I'm not very bright . . . WTF is a K turn?

I had 6 cutting crews running up until I sold the Biz,
3 crews always had a mini skid on board
Butt they all lusted after the crew with the little AL20
The Al20 was always faster

The swinger would kick ass on all the above on big jobs

That's s lot of ash for a garn? How long did it take to gather that barrel?

Many many fires - the fire box is about the size of 55 gallon drum.
you do need to watch the weather and gauge the burns against temperature
30 degree weather It takes 1 hot tank (2 full burns) lasts for about 3 days

Not!.....What, were you in business for 10 years!? Mini s are best and yeah, you are not that bright. Indoor wood furnaces are best. Clam grapples are the best, and (thread title)...TX1000 are the best mini s. You get sick of Ballowe and the Turdhouse?

K turn as outlined (by me) earlier....

Here is another short video that might help those that are real arbs (unlike equipment salesman, "nice guy" TNT Dave Norgaard) that may have made the error listening to this hogwash and purchased a wheeled loader instead of a zero turn radius mini skid. It goes a little fast for those of you with the mentality to buy those machines...but pay attention and you will get the lesson....

Not many 3pt turns needed where I'm from with this turning radius from an AL540. As one can see turf tires this size can take you about anywhere.

I wonder how those would do pushing compared to a mini track machine. That is the biggest advantage IMO about the minis. They have tracks, tracks haves more surface area and can push, like seriously push. How would one of those be in snow? I just pushed a frozen snowbank back 15 feet, uphill pushing. Not problem. I am not convinced the articulating loaders can do that? Can someone post a video. Also, how would they be in the woods? Like native New England forests where you have a foot or more of soft organic matter. Wheels seam to just dig in and get stuck.

My swinger 2000 picks up 15' 25-28" logs all day long. My guys love it! Mini skids have advantages sometimes.
